Summer Term 2024
NEWS LETTER
Firstly we hope that you all have a fantastic Easter half term 🐣🍫🐰
We would like to inform you all of a few changes in the upcoming summer term.
🔷 We will hopefully have our new area completed and in full use, which will give us extra space both indoors and out. Drop off will be through our main gate where we will meet you and show you around our new setting.
🔷 We hope to use our new outdoor space to its full potential, including water play, growing fruit & vegetables and a climbing frame area.
🔷 Our main areas of development next term will include
🔸 exploring the world
🔸 counting to five
🔸 learning about colours
🔸 speech development using ‘p’ ‘b’ ‘s’
🔸 self confidence
🔷 We also aim to provide some extra healthy drinks for the children which will include some fruit infused water, with the weather hopefully picking up in the next couple of months we know its super important for the children to be hydrated, and what better way than with the natural benefits of fruit and water.
OUR BIGGEST CHANGE IN THE UPCOMING MONTHS:
We have decided we will be leaving our childminding agency and registering directly through Ofsted. This will have no major effect on parents or our children and we can 100% assure you that the quality of care and learning will not change whatsoever, our main priority will always be the care and learning we offer to our children, and this is our main reason for our decision.
We have recently been informed that after the summer term our agency plan on taking more fees from us which would leave us struggling to provide as much as we do and still be able to take a wage. We love that fact that we include meals, craft gifts, play visits and a wide range of equipment for our children, if we stay with our agency we would no longer be able to offer these things without requiring fees from parents, this is something we do not want to do.
THINGS THAT WILL NOT CHANGE:
🔷 We will be working closely with Ofsted and our local authorities to ensure our training and setting is more than adequate and none of these areas will be compromised.
🔷 Our fees and what is included will stay the same.
🔷 The days and times we offer will be the same.
🔷 We have already looked into an app that gives you regular updates on your child throughout the day including development relating to EYFS.
🔷 Our priorities on learning development and our goals that each child develops at their own pace and in their own way.
🔷 Our care towards each and every child and their family that we welcome in to our setting, we know that it is so important that you as parents and carers feel positive, trusting and as welcomed into our setting as your children do.
🔷 The way you pay your bills or any funding you use, we will still accept all methods of transactions exactly the same as we do now.
We are more than happy to discuss and queries regarding this change as we know it may sound unsettling to some parents and we will try and make the changeover process as smooth as possible.
Thank you for all of your ongoing support and for choosing us to care for your Little Monsters, we look forward to seeing you all in the new term and hearing about your Easter adventures.
